PVR opens 7-screen multiplex in Vadodara

Vadodara: PVR has opened a seven-screen multiplex at VED Transcube Plaza, taking its count to three in the city.

"With this launch recently, PVR reaches a total of 474 screens in 106 properties across 43 cities in the country.
Currently, among the top 10 cinemas companies in the world with respect to admission per screen, PVR has entered the world economic forum's list of fastest growing global growth companies," PVR joint managing director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli said here on Tuesday.

The multiplex chain operator has invested heavily for setting up entertainment cities and expanded its bowling alley arm PVR bluO. Spread across an area of 49,600 sq feet, the new multiplex is equipped with a seasonal capacity of 1,239 seats, he said.

PVR now has 48 screens in Gujarat, with a total of 11 properties.

The firm, which has two bluO units in Delhi and Gurgaon, has launched the same outlets in Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Ludhiana.

"Overall, eight such facilities have been set up in association with our joint venture partner," said Bijli.
PVR bluO is 51:49 joint-venture between PVR and Major Group of Thailand.
