New Delhi: As the NDA government completes 15-month reign under the prime ministership of Narendra Modi, it has been a roller-coaster ride for corporate India where it saw its share of ups and downs.

According to a report in Business Standard, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta has been the biggest loser over the last 15 months followed by the Adanis and Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.

During the said period, Anil Agarwal’s net worth went down by 45 percent to Rs 64,000 crore from Rs 1.16 lakh crore on May 26, 2014, losing the second spot on the list of promoters in the process. He is now in the fifth position behind Shiv Nadar of HCL, said the report.

The second most losers were Gautam Adani and his families whose worth too fell down to Rs 49,000 crore from Rs 76,690 crore over the last 15 months of PM Modi's reign mainly due to the slide in the market shares of Adani Enterprises and Adani Power stocks.

Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries was the third biggest loser during Narendra Modi's reign as the Prime Minister of India with his net reduced to Rs 1.22 lakh crore against Rs 1.61 lakh crore a year earlier. Nevertheless, he remains the country's richest man, said the Business Standard report.

However, Siddhartha Lal of Eicher group was the biggest gainer of all with his net worth went up by 152 percent to Rs 27,000 crore as compared to Rs 10,735 crore, his net worth on the day the Modi government was sworn in.

He was followed by the Ruias of Essar Group whose net worth doubled by 111.4 percent to Rs 29,100 crore.

In the third place was Lupin’s Desh Bandhu Gupta whose worth also doubled to Rs 38,987 crore from about Rs 19,000 crore a year ago.

According to the report on Business Standard report stated this analysis were based on the market capitalisation of BSE 500 companies on May 26, 2014, and September 4, 2015 and their promoter holding on March 31, 2015, and June 30, 2015.
