New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Global CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Andre Witty.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of the Health Ministry considering adding more drugs to the list of essential medicines, all of which would then come up under price caps.
Bringing more drugs under price controls would dash hopes for an easing of the populist drug policies of the previous central government by the new, business-friendly administration, say industry analysts.
