Platinum Investment sells 10L shares of United Breweries

The shares were sold on an average price of Rs 131.95 valuing the deal to Rs 13.15 crore.

Mumbai: Australia-based fund manager Platinum Investment Management Ltd Thursday offloaded around 10 lakh shares of Vijay Mallya Group firm United Breweries Holding Ltd (UBHL) for Rs 13 crore.

According to bulk data available on stock exchanges, Platinum Investment Management Ltd, one of the shareholders of UBHL, sold 9.96 lakh shares of the company.

The shares were sold on an average price of Rs 131.95 valuing the deal to Rs 13.15 crore.

UBHL is the holding company of the UB Group.

Earlier this week, Platinum Investment Management had pared its stake in UBHL with the sale of 3.27 percent holding in the company that lowered Australia-based fund manager stake to 5.87 percent.

Prior to these share sell, Australia-based fund manager held 9.14 percent stake in UB Group firm United Breweries Holding.

Platinum Investment Management held 72.13 lakh shares or 10.80 percent stake in UBHL at the end of June quarter.

Shares of UBHL Thursday rose by 2.5 percent to settle at Rs 136 apiece on the BSE.
