Orient Paper Q4 profit down 12.26% to Rs 16.67 cr

Company's net sales on a standalone basis declined 1.66%.


New Delhi: On 11th May, CK Birla group firm Orient Paper & Industries today reported a 12.26 percent decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 16.67 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 19 crore in the January-March period of the previous fiscal (2013-14).

Company's net sales on a standalone basis declined 1.66 percent to Rs 569.69 crore for the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 573.31 crore during the same period of the previous financial year,
Orient Paper said in a BSE filing.

Orient Paper's revenue from paper and board segment increased 26.58 percent during the period under review to Rs 128.47 crore as against Rs 101.49 crore of the same period last fiscal.

Revenue from electrical consumer durables declined 6.52 percent to Rs 453.49 crore from 485.14 crore in the same period last fiscal.

For the entire fiscal ended March 2015, Orient Paper & Industries registered a loss of Rs 28.65 crore as against a profit of Rs 4.23 crore in the previous fiscal.

However, Orient Paper' net sales were up 6.29 percent to Rs 1,623.31 crore in 2014-15 from Rs 1,527.11 crore in 2013-14.

Shares of Orient Paper & Industries today closed at Rs 26.50 per scrip on BSE, up 1.15 percent from previous close.
