Labour union at Bosch's Jaipur plant goes on day-long strike

Auto components maker Bosch on Friday said operations at its Jaipur plant will remain shut due to a day-long strike called by the labour union over wage settlement issues.

New Delhi: Auto components maker Bosch on Friday said operations at its Jaipur plant will remain shut due to a day-long strike called by the labour union over wage settlement issues.

"Labour Union of the company's Jaipur plant has called for a 'one-day strike' today in connection with the ongoing wage settlement," Bosch said in a BSE filing.

However, the company does not foresee any significant financial impact due to this one-day strike, it added.

Wage negotiations have been going on since last 20 months and Labour Commissioner and Joint Labour Commissioner have convened multiple conciliatory meetings between the company management and members of Labour Union.

"The management is in discussion with the Union to close the wage negotiations with the intervention of the Joint Labour Commissioner, Jaipur in a fair but firm manner," the company said.

Bosch Limited manufactures and trades in automotive, industrial, consumer goods and building technologies.
