Jaguar Land Rover global sales up 14% in February

The company's sales were up 44 percent in the China region, 12 percent in North America, 16 percent in Asia Pacific and 1 percent in Europe, JLR said in a statement.

New Delhi: Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) on Wednesday reported a 14 percent increase in global sales in February at 30,487 units.

The company's sales were up 44 percent in the China region, 12 percent in North America, 16 percent in Asia Pacific and 1 percent in Europe, JLR said in a statement.

"This has been another solid month for Jaguar Land Rover with continued strong demand for models across the range in our international markets," JLR Group Sales Operations Director Andy Goss said.

Together with January sales, this has been a positive start to 2014, he added. During the first two months of the year, JLR sold 69,593 vehicles, an increase of 13 percent.

In February, the company sold 5,300 Jaguar vehicles, up 15 percent, while Land Rover sales rose 13 percent to 25,187 units.
