New Delhi: Good news for all students who are travelling for academic purposes – Air India is offering special discounted fares starting from just Rs 3,500, inclusive of all taxes.
The limited offer available on domestic network is for journey of up to 1000 km.
Air India has also offered a discounted special fare of just Rs 5,000 (all inclusive) for students on domestic network who are travelling for academic purposes and for a distance over 1000 km.
"Students travelling for various academic reasons like proceeding to join their school, college or to give entrance exam would benefit from this special offer," the airline said in a statement.
Under the offer, Air India has also allowed the students a baggage weight of up to 25 kgs.
The booking of tickets under the offer commences from June 1 and will remain open till July 31 while the journey period stands between July 1 and August 31, Air India said.
Last week, budget carrier GoAir had also offered concession in both airfares and baggage allowance to students appearing for exams or are returning back and changing cities to join new colleges and schools.
