Equifax appoints HSBC's Manish Sinha to head country ops

Sinha, appointed as the managing director and country head for Equifax, will be focusing on retail banking as the head of consumer assets and customer value management.

Mumbai: As on 6th May, Credit information company Equifax appointed multinational lender HSBC's consumer assets head Manish Sinha to lead its country operations.

Equifax India is a joint venture between the Atlanta, USA-headquartered Equifax and seven domestic financial institutions, including State Bank of India.

Sinha, appointed as the managing director and country head for Equifax, will be focusing on retail banking as the head of consumer assets and customer value management.

He will be replacing Sanjay Patel.

"We're excited as we expect Manish taking those offerings to the next level while managing Equifax India's operations," Shahid Charania, the managing director for emerging markets at Equifax said.

Sinha said the relationships he has forged and his knowledge of the financial sector will be of help in the new job.
