Dr Reddy's Q4 net rises 8% to Rs 519 crore

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 481.60 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Hyderabad: Dr Reddy's Laboratories on Tuesday reported a 7.73 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 518.84 crore for the quarter ended March 31 on account of robust sales.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 481.60 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Consolidated net income of the company also rose to Rs 3,870.44 crore for the quarter from Rs 3,480.90 crore in the same period year ago.

For the full fiscal year, consolidated net profit rose to Rs 2,217.86 crore from Rs 2,151.20 crore year ago.
Consolidated net income of the company also rose to Rs 14,818.89 crore for the financial year as against Rs 13,217.03 crore for the previous fiscal year.

In a separate filing, Dr Reddy's Laboratories said the Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 20 (400 per cent) per equity share of Rs 5 face value, for the financial year.

Shares of the drugmaker were trading at Rs 3,480 per scrip, up 3.51 per cent from its previous close in afternoon trade on the BSE.
