New Delhi: The hassle at security check points might soon ease for the aviation ministry is planning to simplify the boarding pass process, a daily newspaper reported on Friday.

Soon, domestic flyers might be able to board the flights by flashing e-boarding cards at security checks.

These e-boarding cards will be bar-coded leaflets which will allow passage to the plane, the paper reported.

Meanwhile, the aviation minister has asked the security personnel at boarding gates to not send back passengers to security check point again in the wake of missing baggage tags, as is the practice, the paper said.

This has reportedly been done to further curb the last minute chaos at the security check in bigger airports.

It may be recalled that in 2012, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), which is the nodal agency for civil aviation security, had issued orders for acceptability of soft display of tickets on laptops, tablets and smart-phones at the entry point of airport.

Earlier it was mandatory for travellers to carry printout of the e-ticket along with their valid identity cards to enter into the airport.
