Bank of Baroda Q1 net profit up 16.5% at Rs 1,362 crore

The gross NPA was up 1.7 percent at Rs 12,087 crore, as compared to Rs 11,876 crore in the same quarter previous year.

New Delhi: Public sector lender Bank of Baroda on Monday posted its first quarter result for the financial year 2014-15. The Q1 net profit increased 16.5 percent to Rs 1,362 crore as compared with Rs 1,168 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Net interest income grew 15.2 percent to Rs 3,328.3 crore during the same period while other income (non-interest income) declined 16.7 percent on yearly basis to Rs 1,024.54 crore in the quarter gone by.

The gross NPA was up 1.7 percent at Rs 12,087 crore, as compared to Rs 11,876 crore in the same quarter previous year.
