New Delhi: Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals has announced a major regig in its top management. The company has appointed founder Prathap Reddy's daughter Preetha Reddy as the executive vice-chairperson of the company while her younger sister Suneeta Reddy has been elevated to the post of managing director.
Prathap Reddy's two other daughters — Shobana Kamineni has also been given executive vice-chairperson's post while Sangita has been appointed joint managing director.
The decision was taken at the meeting of Board of Directors of the Company.
After the regig, Suneeta will take care of the hospital's day-to-day business while Preetha will handle policy matters and international business.
Shobana Kamineni will continue to lead the Apollo Pharmacy and continue to be the whole-time director of Apollo Munich Health Insurance while Sangita will lead the health and lifestyle under Apollo Health and Lifestyle.
While the redesignations of Preetha Reddy, Suneeta Reddy and Sangita Reddy are for the remaining period of their tenure up to February 02, 2016, the redesignation of Shobana Kamineni is for the remaining period of her tenure up to January 31, 2015.
The Board has also approved the re-appointment of Shobana Kamineni as Executive Vice Chairperson for a period of five years with effect from February 01, 2015 on the existing remuneration terms.
