New Delhi: The Supreme Court will on Monday decide whether Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Ranjit Sinha tried to influence some of the cases being investigated by the central probe agency and interfering with the 2G case.

An NGO, the Centre for Public Interest Litigation, has accused Sinha of irregularities in the 2G scam probe and produced a record of visitors at his residence indicating that some of the scam-accused called on the CBI chief.

Sinha is accused of meeting case suspects in the high-profile 2G case by senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan, who represents the NGO.

Sinha last week filed two affidavits before the court - one in the sealed cover - refuting all the allegations, and the other questioning the petitioner.

In a sealed envelope, Ranjit Sinha refuted all allegations made by Bhushan of interfering in the 2G scam probe.
