YU Yureka maiden sale today; 10,000 units up for grabs on Amazon

Priced at Rs 8,999 only, the device from the subsidiary of Micromax, the second-largest smartphone manufacturers in the country, YU Yureka will go on sale on the the eCommerce site at 02:00 p.m.

New Delhi: Yu has put up 10,000 units of its 4G device 'Yureka' on e-retail site Amazon.In as part of maiden sale set for Tuesday.

Priced at Rs 8,999 only YU Yureka, the device from the subsidiary of Micromax, the second-largest smartphone manufacturers in the country, will go on sale on the the eCommerce site at 02:00 p.m. today.

Yu Yureka, which was launched last year, is a dual SIM device and to get a hand on it, one will have to register for it. (The registrations have been closed as of now)

The company claims that over 3 lakh had registered for the flash sale of Yureka on Amazon.In.

"We saw unprecedented response with over three lakh registrations. Registrations were to be open till 25th December. However, owing to the mega response they had to be closed a day earlier," Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma had said earlier.

Focussed on the fast growing segment of tech enthusiasts, Micromax had launched the new subsidiary last year. The first device to be launched by Yu is in partnership with Cyanogen OS. Based on Android operating system, CyanogenMod offers features and options not found in the official firmware that is distributed by most mobile device vendors.

Amazon will also offer Cash on Delivery for Yureka customers.

Yureka is a 4G device, which features Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octacore processor and 64-bit multi-core CPU, 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 12.5GB memory (for apps and mass storage and expandable up to 32 GB), 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and 2,500 mAh battery.
