New Delhi: Domestic handset maker Xolo has launched Omega series smartphones in the market with a starting price of Rs 8,999.
The Omega series has two smartphones under this category-- Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5. The Omega smartphones are powered by MediaTek octa-core processor and Xolo's proprietary Hive platform.
The Omega 5.0 smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and will be available starting December 10, while the Omega 5.5 smartphone is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available from December 20.
The Xolo Omega 5.5 has 5.5-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa core processor with Mali-450MP4 graphics, 1GB of RAM and HIVE Inside built on Android Kitkat 4.4 Operating System. It is powered by a 2600 mAh battery. It is provided with 8 GB internal storage and it can be expanded to 32GB via a micro SD card.
Omega 5.5 has a 13 MP rear camera whereas Omega 5.0 has a 8MP rear camera. Both the smartphones have a 2MP front camera for taking selfies and video calling.
Xolo has partnered with Vodafone which will provide 500MB free data for Omega 5.0 customers and 1 GB data for Omega 5.5, for a period of two months.
