New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi will launch the much anticipated MIUI 7 Operating System in India. The company has sent out invite for its event in Delhi stipulated for Wednesday.
The company has also tweeted via its official India account confirming the launch event. “Getting too much trash talk from your apps? #MIUI7 looks to solve that in an easy way. Stay tuned to 19/8 2.30pm,” Xiaomi tweeted.
Its further tweet reads, “MIUI7 will unlock the fun in your Redmi phone. Stay tuned to 19th August, 2.30pm.”
The company has also given hints on the features of the OS. It tweeted saying, “MIUI7 — Designed for you, so you can personalise it. What other special features would you like to see?”.

As per media reports the new improvements will include face recognition support in Gallery and
new theme.
Xiaomi website has said, “MIUI 7 is here!!! Come and join Hugo Barra in New Delhi as he walks through the awesome things we’ve been working on. We will also be announcing some new features specifically for global MIUI fans!”.
