New Delhi: With 40,000 units sold out is just 4.2 seconds on its first sale Tuesday, as claimed by Flipkart, the exclusive partner of Xiaomi Redmi 1S, registration for the second round of sale has begun.
Xiaomi, the iPhone killer from China, has been selling its models, Mi3 and Redmi 1S likely hotcakes in India since its launch. Every piece of Xiaomi Mi3 were sold in seconds except for its first sales which took 39 minutes. Since then, they all disappeared in seconds.
Following the success of Redmi 1S, Flipkart has opened registration from Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. onwards for the next round of sale which will take place on September 9. The registration will be open till September 8.
For today's sale, Flipkart had received about 2.5 lakh registrations but only 40,000 units were available for sale which vanished in 4.2 seconds.
Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch display powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor. It also comes with 1 GB of RAM and a 8GB internal memory which is expandable via microSD card. It also features an 8 MP camera, 2000 mAh battery and is temptingly priced at Rs 5,999/ only.
