Xiaomi Redmi 1S goes 'normal sale' today; no prior registration needed

Perhaps, for the last time, Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has put up its Redmi 1S handsets for 'normal sale' on Monday through Flipkart.

New Delhi: Perhaps, for the last time, Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has put up its Redmi 1S handsets for 'normal sale' on Monday through Flipkart.

Unlike former flash sales where buyers had to registered themselves to grab one of those much-talked about handsets, there won't be any registration required this time.

Moreover, Xiaomi has put up the Redmi 1S on Flipkart for normal sale, an act, which fans and critics alleged, is the last time that the phone is being put up for sale.

Following the huge success of its smartphones in India, Xiaomi launched its another much anticipated Redmi Note in India in November, a product which eventually took over the Tuesday flash sale from Redmi 1S, suggested an end to the 4.7-inch smartphone that rocked the country.

Though the amount of Redmi 1S put up for sale in Flipkart is unknown, the sale is said to have started at 06:00 a.m today.

Meanwhile, the next round of flash sale of the Redmi Note will take place on Tuesday at 02:00 p.m. for which registrations are on till Monday midnight.

Xiaomi is available on a tempting price of Rs 5,999 for features that includes 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 with 312 ppi, a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Cortex-A7 core and Adreno 305 image processor, there is no denying it is one the best smartphones around.

Redmi 1S also features an 8GB flash memory, an 8MP primary camera and a 1.6MP front camera.
