New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi will on Tuesday sell out its stock of its Mi3 smartphones on online marketplace Flipkart.

Notably, Flipkart is exclusively selling Xiaomi’s handsets in India.

This is the third Mi3 flash sale in India by the Chinese technology major, which debuted in the Indian smartphone market in July.

On Facebook, the company has said that there will be 15,000 Xiaomi Mi3 units for sale on August 05. Registrations for the smartphone closed by midnight last night. The phone will be made available for purchase today at 2 pm.

On July 29, Xiaomi Mi3 units were sold out in a record 5 seconds time. In its first flash sale, on July 22, it took around 39 minutes for the company to sell all the devices.

The total number of Mi3 devices, priced at Rs 13,999, sold on Flipkart to date is 20,000.

Flipkart had earlier said it received about 1,00,000 registrations for the Mi3 between July 15 and July 21.

Xiaomi Mi3 sports a 5.0-inch full HD display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon CPU, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 shield, aluminium-magnesium alloy frame and many more features.

Known as the ‘Apple’ of China, Xiaomi plans to bring in more devices like Redmi 1S and Redmi Note, priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively, in the coming days.

The Indian smartphone market is witnessing strong competition between local and international players, all vying to grab a share of the multi—billion dollar market.
