New Delhi: Xiaomi launched the large screen Mi Max smartphone at an event in China on Tuesday. The smartphone is launched in three variants: for RMB 1499 (around Rs 15,300), RMB 1699 (around Rs 17,300) and RMB 1999 (around Rs 20,400).
The tech company also unveiled its new MIUI 8 ROM.
The phone has a large display of 6.44", is 7.5 mm on the edges and weighs only 203 gms. The phone runs of a spacious 4850 mAh battery that can last for more than a day without charging.
Mi Max is all-metal bodied with a fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi Mi Max sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera also on board with 85-degree wide-angle view, and a f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphones are out in 3 colors - Silver, Gold and Dark grey, and comes with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 / 652 processor.
The dual-SIM handset supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass, and Wi-Fi.
