New Delhi: After the huge success of its smartphones giving a tough fight to Apple and Samsung in the market, Chinese handset maker Xiaomi could soon be coming with a laptop which could hit the market as soon as early 2016.
The Chinese company has already ventured into TV which is doing well in the market. Following this success, the company is planning laptops, said reports.
- According to news reports, inside sources have claimed that Xiaomi is building a laptop that they aim to launch early 2016.
- Apparently, the company has been in talks with Samsung to provide the processors, and that deal might well extend to providing the displays as well.
- A laptop from Xiaomi, if their past modus operandi is anything to go by, will likely pack some premium specs and features at a steal of a price.
- That would mean a thin laptop with a narrow bezel full HD display, possibly with a coloured matte finish back.
- The price should, however, not even come close to a Mac or Yoga 3, probably remaining in the 30K to 40K range
- Windows would be the best way to stay competitive, seeing as it's still the widest-used PC operating system, but that would mean kicking up the price in stores to accommodate legit Windows 10 copies.
