New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi once again registered unprecedented sales on Tuesday when its smartphones Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G went out of stock within seconds.
Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar tweeted, " Today's (Tuesday) sales of Redmi 1S: went out of stock within 4 seconds. Thank you Mi fans for your love and support."
"Today's (Tuesday) sales of Redmi Note 4G: went out of stock within 5 seconds. Thank you Mi fans for your awesome support," he wrote.
This is the first time that Xiaomi has offered two smartphones for flash sales on the same day.
Jain further tweeted, "We have received an overwhelming response of 500+K registrations across Redmi Note 4G & Redmi 1S this week."
The Redmi Note 4G features a 5.5-inch IPS HD display (720x1280 pixels) and is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset processor along with Adreno 305 graphics processor. It has an 8GB internal memory which is expandable to 64GB via microSD card clubbed with 2GB of RAM.
It has a 13MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera and a sports a 3100 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
On the other hand, the Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display (720x1280 pixels) and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.6GHz. It comes with 8GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB vi microSD card along with 1GB of RAM.
Redmi 1S runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and comes with a rear camera of 8MP and a 1.2MP front-facing camera.
