New Delhi: Micromax has put up its latest budget smartphone, the Canvas Xpress 2 on flash sale exclusively on eCommerce site, Flipkart. The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is priced at just Rs 5,999.
However, if you missed this opportunity, here are three other smartphones you can buy around the same price and more or less similar specs.
1. Redmi 2
The Redmi 2 has been around for a while and is still a great buy for it's price. It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 with an Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It has a 8MP rear cam and 5MP front cam, 4.7" HD (1280x720p) display with 312 ppi and is powered by a 2200mAh battery. The phone runs MIUI 6.0 on Android 4.4.4, so make sure you like the way the custom UI works before you make a purchase.
2. Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G
The older Moto E migt be slightly outclassed by the the 3rd Gen model out now, but the price of the new version is almost double. The 2nd Gen has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 with an Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It has a 5MP rear cam and a VGA front cam, a 4.5" (960x540p) display at 245 ppi, is powered by a 2390mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.0. Whie there's not much happening on this device, it's perfect if your looking for the most basic phone, and it's got comparable battery life to the Canvas Xpress 2.
3. Huawei Honor Holly
Packing a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582 processor with a Mali 400 GPU, it has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. it also has a 8MP rear cam and 2MP front cam, 5" (1280x720p) display at 294 ppi, and is powered by a 2000mAh battery. This runs Emotion UI on Android 4.4.2 so it'll take a little getting used to.
