Samsung Mobile is targeting a 40 percent sales growth this year from Kerala by adopting 'aggressive' marketing approach during the Onam festival, a top official said Wednesday.

Kochi: Samsung Mobile is targeting a 40 percent sales growth this year from Kerala by adopting 'aggressive' marketing approach during the Onam festival, a top official said Wednesday.

"We will be more aggressive across segments and are looking at an ambitious growth of 40 percent this year," Raju Pullan, Director, Samsung Mobile, told reporters here.

In one-of-its-kind offer, consumers who purchase a Samsung smartphone or tablet during the promotion period stand a chance to win exciting daily and weekly prizes and also get an opportunity to participate and win a bumper prize. There are 140 products and 35 gift coupons to be won daily for 35 days during the 'Onam' festival period lasting September 9.

Samsung Electronics will be spending about Rs six crore during this Onam for promotional campaign and prizes, which include Samsung tablet, Galaxy S5 smartphone, LED TV, Refrigerator and a Ninja bike. Two lucky winners will also get 'Dubai trip for a couple' every week.

The customers can also avail a 10 percent cashback on their Federal bank debit cards on purchase of select mobile phones. Samsung has also tied up with banks which will provide EMI options.
