Samsung Galaxy Alpha launched in India at Rs 39,990

New Delhi: South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone in India on Saturday.

The phone has been priced at Rs 39,990 and will be available in India from first week of October.

Galaxy Alpha, the thinnest Android smartphone, comes with a metal frame around a plastic body with 6.7mm thickness, weighing 115grams.

The device features a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED (720x1280p) display. It runs the latest out-of-the-box Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is powered by octa-core chipset having 1.8GHz quad-core and a 1.3GHz quad-core processors.

The phone packs a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 2GB RAM, 1860mAh battery and fingerprint scanner. The phone has an internal memory 32GB however the microSD card is missing.

The phone will be available various colour options-- charcoal black, dazzling white, frosted gold, sleek silver, and scuba blue.
