New Delhi: For the tenth time, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has opened registration for the flash sale of its flagship smartphone Redmi 1S on Flipkart.
The 10th flash sale of Redmi 1S will go off on November 11 at 02:00 p.m.
Registrations are open from November 4 to November 10 midnight.
On November 4, the company sold 100,000 units of Redmi 1S in its 9th flash sale on the e-commerece site where over 200,000 were said to have registered for the sale.
However, unlike the past flash sales where it took just seconds, it took the company about an hour to flash off the sales. This could be in view of the recent security alert that the Indian Air Force had given against the use of Redmi 1S.
The IAF had claimed that the Xiaomi smartphone was not secure as it was sending data from the phone, including contact numbers, phone numbers, to a centre in China.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi has opened registration for its 10th flash sale of the Redmi 1S to be held on November 11. However, the company has not revealed the number of units that it will put up for sale.
