Panasonic launches T40 smartphone for Rs 5,990

The new smartphone supports dual-SIM, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

New Delhi: Panasonic has launched its new budget Android smartphone in India -- T40 at a price tag of Rs 5,990.

The new smartphone supports dual-SIM, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The T40 has a 4-inch display with 480x800 pixels WVGA IPS display. The smartphone has a 5MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera.

The smartphone comes with 8GB built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.

The connectivity options include, dual-SIM, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, microUSB and bluetooth. The smartphone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery.

The phone weighs 117 grams. It will be available in red, grey and white colours. It also includes sensors such as ambient light sensor, accelerometer and proximity sensor.
