Panasonic Eluga U smartphone launched in India at Rs 18,990

Japanese company Panasonic on Wednesday launched a new smartphone – Eluga U- in the Indian market at a price of Rs 18,990.

New Delhi: Japanese company Panasonic on Wednesday launched a new smartphone – Eluga U- in the Indian market at a price of Rs 18,990. The smartphone will be available for sale in stores from first week of August.

The smartphone aims to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Xiaomi M3, Micromax Canvas Knight and HTC Desire 616 in terms of pricing and features available.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box software. It has a 5-inch display, Gorilla Glass 3 protection with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Eluga U comes loaded with a 13MP autofocus rear camera, with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It weighs 141 grams and has a 16 GB of in-built memory which can be expanded upto 32 GB via micro SD card. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS.

The software features available in the phone includes Kwik Lock, Pop i-Player, Music cafe and Gesture play. The phone will be available in black and white colour options and has a non-removable 2,500mAh battery.
