Motorola's smartwatch Moto 360 to release in India soon

It will be the first smartwatch in a circular design as most of the other brands offer blocky and chunky smartwatches.

New Delhi: Motorola's highly anticipated smartwatch Moto 360 will finally be launched in India soon. Motorola had announced the launch of its new smartwatch early this month.

E-commerce giant Flipkart has officially listed Moto 360 on its website. Flipkart, however, hasn't revealed the exact launch date and price of the device. But the launch can be expected by the end of this month.

It will be the first smartwatch in a circular design as most of the other brands offer blocky and chunky smartwatches.

Moto 360 smartwatch boasts of a 1.5-inch backlit LCD display panel protected by Gorilla Glass 3. For the fitness lovers, the smartwatch comes packed with pedometer and optical heart rate monitor.

Other value-added features include IP67 water-resistant certifications, dual microphones to receive voice-commands and bluetooth 4.0 low energy for pairing Android companion devices.

A TI OMAP processor backed by 512 MB RAM powers the device running on a 320mAh battery cell. It als comes with internal storage of 4GB.

Since the price of the Moto 360 is around $249 in the US (Rs15,000), the India price bracket is also expected to be somewhere around 15K.

Motorola has signed exclusive tie-up with Flipkart for its new range of devices in India.
