New Delhi: Motorola has begun rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Moto E, Moto G and Moto X smartphone users in India.

Motorola India tweeted," We've begun rolling out Android, KitKat, 4.4.4 for Moto E, Moto G & Moto X this week in India! Expect an update on your #Moto soon!"

Motorola has launched its Moto G, Moto X and Moto E with Flipkart. While the Moto E has captured the Indian market for its affordable price, Moto X and Moto G have their niche customers.

According to research firm IDC, smartphone sales in the country grew almost three-fold to over 44 million in 2013.

In the first quarter of 2014, 17.59 million smartphones were shipped into India as compared with 6.14 million in the same period of 2013.
