Microsoft likely to unveil 'selfie phone' Lumia 730 in September

Continuing the success of the Lumia phone series, Microsoft is likely to unveil the much speculated 'selfie phone' labeled as Lumia 730, codenamed Superman, on the 4th of September.

New Delhi: Continuing the success of the Lumia phone series, Microsoft is likely to unveil the much speculated 'selfie phone' labeled as Lumia 730, codenamed Superman, on the 4th of September.

Besides the Lumia 730, Microsoft is also expected to unveil a series of other Lumia phones for the market including Lumia 830 which has been codenamed Tesla.

The handsets will be unveiled at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Germany on September 4th, said a report.

The company is said to have sent out invites to members for the event.

On Wednesday, Microsoft Devices uveiled its most affordable Lumia phone, the Lumia 530 in India with a price tag of Rs Rs 7,349. It will be available in the market from August 14, the company said.

Thought no details of the new Lumia phones to be unveiled were given, Microsoft Devices chief Stephen Elop had recently showed off two new Lumia Windows Phones and it is believed that those were Lumia 730 and Lumia 830.

However, as per reports, the Lumia 730 is aimed at the 'selfie market' and will come with a 5MP front-facing camera besides a 4.7 inch-screen.
