New Delhi: Indian handset maker Micromax has launched a new smartphone -- Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 priced at Rs 11,999.
The new handset is a variant of the company’s flagship phone where it offers a similar design, but altered specs.
The handset is a mid-range smartphone. It embeds an octa core processor from MediaTek. The phone has a 4.7-inch HD display.
The smartphone has a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera is capable of video recording and playback at 1080 pixel. It supports dual SIM, a 2000mAh battery that can deliver around 7 hours of talk time or approximately 180 hours of standby.
In terms of connectivity, the phone caters to Bluetooth 4.0 , Wi-Fi , USB, a 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS. On the memory front, the Canvas Knight Cameo packs 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Micromax is also offering some free apps such as Amazon, BookMyShow, M! Games, M! Insurance, M! Live, M! Pick, M! Security, MAD, Opera mini, Savan, Spuul, Swift Key, True Caller, Yatra, Zaper and other Android games.
The phone is available in three colour options – white, black and gold.
