New Delhi: LG has launched its new smartphone --LG G Flex2 -- in the Indian market. The curved display smartphone is priced at Rs 54,990, and was first globally introduced at CES 2015.

LG G Flex2 comes with improvement upon its predecessor and comes with a more advanced design, faster performance. The single-SIM smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and features a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and a 403ppi pixel density.

It is the world’s first officially announced smartphone powered by a 64 bit octacore chip set. The smartphone sports a 13.0MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS+), dual-LED two-tone flash, and laser-guided autofocus. It sports a 2.1MP front-facing camera. The G Flex2 will come in 16GB and 32GB storage variants that are expandable via microSD card.

The phone is available in two colours, silver and red. The smartphone is said to be "scratch-proof" with self-healing properties. If there is a scratch under normal use the mark disappears in seconds. The screen itself isn't scratchproof, but LG says it's more durable than usual with a special chemical layer applied to Corning's Gorilla Glass.
