Washington: Google is reportedly testing a new tablet, according to a Chrome bug-tracking website.
The tech site Myce picked on details on Chromium, a Google site dedicated to tracking bugs in the Chrome browser, that indicate Google could be ironing out the wrinkles on a new tablet, CNET reports.
While there is no concrete data to substantiate the information, the code name of " flounder" at the bottom of the page under the build fingerprint suggests that the company is testing a Nexus product.
Myce deduces that Google was using software from May 6, sparking speculations that the device could hit the market by next month.
The report adds that an 8.9-inch tablet will enter volume production in July or August and go on sale later in the year.
