Flash sale round 4: Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone out of stock in 5.2 seconds

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi on Tuesday put up 60,000 units of its hot-selling budget smartphone 'Redmi 1S' for sale on Flipkart.

It only took 5.2 seconds this time to get the 60,000 units of the smartphone out of stock.

During its previous three flash sales, Xiaomi had put up a total of 1,20,000 units (40,000x3) of Redmi 1S handsets. Around 4 lakhs buyers had registered on the three occasions.

The first flash sale saw 40,000 units going out of sale in 4.2 seconds, 4.5 seconds in the second flash sale and in 3.4 seconds in the third flash sale.

For its fourth flash sale on Tuesday, Flipkart claimed over 3,50,000 people had registered.

Flipkart has also made it mandatory for buyers to register themselves for the flash sales.

With a tempting price of Rs 5,999 for features that includes 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 with 312 ppi, a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Cortex-A7 core and Adreno 305 image processor, there is no denying it is one the best smartphones around.

Redmi 1S also features an 8GB flash memory, an 8MP primary camera and a 1.6MP front camera.
