Washington: BlackBerry is reportedly planning to launch a new device with square screen, with a resolution of 1440 x 1440.
According to CNET, the Canadian telecom company published an update to its Developer Blog inviting app makers to try out BlackBerry 10.3 and its beta simulator shows a square screen.
Blackberry has hinted that the OS 10.3 is designed for the devices the company plans to launch later this year.
The company also said that they are focusing on uniqueness in product design, and the square screen can help them stand out of the crowd.
However, BlackBerry kept mum on sharing more details on the device.
