Apple iPhone 6 launch: Round-up rumours

Rumours have been doing the rounds about the unveiling of iPhone 6, iWatch, an iWallet, an iOS 8 and a probable performance by international renowned rock bank U2.

New Delhi: "Wish we could say more" Apple said in the media invite that it sent out a week earlier for the September 9 event.

It really appears that Apple is not willing to say much for now. But Apple's September event has been one of those most awaited events in the tech world and the company has taken it to launch major products. (iPhone 5s and 5c in September 2013).

Therefore, within hours from now, the technology world will, perhaps, see one of the most anticipated smartphones of the generation - the iPhone 6.

Regardless of whether Apple wants to say it or not, rumours have been doing the rounds about the unveiling of iPhone 6, iWatch, an iWallet, an iOS 8 and a probable performance by international renowned rock bank U2.

iPhone 6: Apple may probably launch two iPhones. Yes! You heard it right. Reports and rumours have it that Apple may launch an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch screen display and a bigger one with 5.5-inch display. It is possible that both the iPhones will have a screen resolution display of 828x1472 pixels which will translate to 359ppi for the 4.7-inch display, and 307ppi for the 5.5-inch display. But rumours also have it that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will have a screen resolution of 960x1704 pixels.

iWatch: Smartwatch or iWatch as Apple would like it to be called, is another important product of the company that is likely to be featured at the event. Though this product is not likely to hit the markets before Christmas, some have wondered by unveil it now.

U2: Irish rock bank U2 is likely to perform at the event on Tuesday. The New York Times and Irish Times is said to have reported that the band will 'definitely' perform at the event. The band may also have a tie up with some of the products, reports said. The band had performed in 2004 when Steve Jobs launched the iPod then.

iWallet: One of the most exciting and anticipated feature of the iPhone 6 is the iWallet. Will Apple unveil it today at the end? Very likely. If Apple does so, payments at stores and restaurants will be as easy as waving your iPhone infront of a scanner.

iOS8: Apple had unveiled the iOS8 at the World Wide Developers Conference earlier this year. Reportedly, Apple is calling it "the biggest release since the launch of the App Store, giving users incredible new features and developers the tools they need to create amazing new apps."
