New Delhi: Global eCommerce giant Amazon has unveiled its new eBook reader Kindle.
The new device will start shipping from October 9. It has been affordably priced at Rs 5999.
It comes with a touch interface, 20 percent faster processor, twice the storage with weeks of battery life, along with new features like Vocabulary builder, Kindle Freetime and Goodreads integration.
The new Kindle's features like Kindle Freetime allows parents to hand out achievement badges when they hit reading milestones. It also continuously updates the parents about their kids' progress report.
The device also comes with Facebook and Twitter integration that allows users to share book recommendations, highlighted sections, and meaningful quotes with friends.
Along with access to millions of books, Kindle offers over 600,000 books exclusively on the Kindle Store.
