New Delhi: Apple Inc finally launched the much awaited and iconic smartphones - iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Tuesday.
After much speculations and rumors related to the tech specs and features that were doing the rounds since months, the world got to see the final product offered by the tech giant.
The phones were called as "biggest advancement in the history of iPhone" by Tim Cook, Apple's CEO at the launch ceremony.
Let's take a look at the main attractions of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which is set to woo the customers.
Bigger iPhone
Apple has introduced two bigger, thinner and sleeky phones. Both the phones offer a curved glass retina HD display.
iPhone 6 offers a 4.7-inch display with a 1334 X 750 display.
iPhone 6 Plus offers has a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 X 1080 resolution.
Price
The iPhone 6 starts at $199 with 16 GB of storage, $299 for 64 GB and $399 for 128 GB.
The iPhone 6 Plus is a tad expensive. The 16GB is priced at $299, 64GB for $399 and 128GB will cost $499.
Camera
The new 8MP iSlight camera in both the models is an improved version. It can focus twice as fast as the earlier camera. It offers a new True Tone flash sporting a f/2.2 aperture.
The front camera has also an improved face detection and a new burst mode for selfies with single shot HDR photos.
Battery
The battery offered by new phones is improved. iPhone 6 will have 10 days of standby battery life and 10 hours of web brousing.
iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand offers 16 days of of battery standby time and 12 hours of web browsing.
Release date
The shipment for the two phones will start from September 19 and pre-orders will begin from September 12. The gadgets will be available across the globe by the end of 2014. It will be available in 8 countries at the launch.
Exterior
The iPhone 6 is 6.9mm thin, and the iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm. Both the phones will be available in Gold, Silver and Grey colours.
