New Delhi: Silver prices recovered by Rs 66 to Rs 39,790 per kg in futures trading on Tuesday as speculators created fresh positions after it rose in overseas markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September rose by Rs 66, or 0.17 percent, to Rs 39,790 per kg in business turnover of six lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in July contracts traded higher by Rs 50, or 0.13 percent, to Rs 39,676 per kg in 206 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators, buoyed by a firm global trend, mainly pushed up silver prices in futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.30 percent to USD 18.81 an ounce in Singapore On Tuesday.
