New Delhi: Silver prices fell 0.27 percent to Rs 37,185 per kg in futures trade Monday as speculators trimmed positions, taking negative cues from overseas markets.
In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September month fell by Rs 100, or 0.27 percent to Rs 37,185 per kg in business turnover of 20 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July contracts eased by Rs 73, or 0.20 percent to Rs 36,667 per kg in 1,601 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators in tandem with a weak global trend mainly led to decline in silver prices.
Globally, silver declined 0.2 percent to USD 15.94 an ounce in Singapore.
