Gold prices moved lower by Rs 68 to Rs 26,520 per 10 grams in futures trade Tuesday as market participants offloaded their positions even a range bound trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for delivery in October slipped by Rs 68 to Rs 26,520 per ten grams after moving in range of Rs 26,503 - Rs 26,592.

Gold in overseas markets, which normally set price trend on the domestic front, ticked up today but
was stuck near its lowest in almost nine months, hurt by outflows from the top bullion backed exchange-traded fund as investors adjust positions on concerns of higher US interest rates and strength in the dollar.

Globally, gold was last up 0.2 percent at USD 1,216.90 per ounce after dropping for two straight days.

Continuing its declining trend for the third day, gold on Monday fell by another Rs 120 to Rs 26,850 per ten gram at Delhi bullion market.
