Gold futures gain 0.15% on firm global cues

Gold prices increased by 0.15 percent to Rs 25,796 per 10 grams in futures trading Wednesday as speculators enlarged positions amid a better trend overseas.

New Delhi: Gold prices increased by 0.15 percent to Rs 25,796 per 10 grams in futures trading Wednesday as speculators enlarged positions amid a better trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for delivery in June rose by Rs 40, or 0.15 percent, to Rs 25,796 per 10 grams in a business turnover of eight lots.

Similarly, the yellow metal for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 33, or 0.13 percent, to Rs 25,650 per 10 grams in 505 lots.

Analysts said a better trend in the global markets supported the upside in gold prices at futures trade here.
