Gold futures ease 0.32% as global cues stay weak

Globally, gold traded USD 1,214.46 an ounce in early trade today in Singapore.

New Delhi: On 14th May, Gold prices eased 0.32 percent to Rs 27,441 per 10 grams in futures trade as participants offloaded positions at current levels amid weak cues from global markets.

Gold for delivery in June contracts declined Rs 87, or 0.32 percent, to Rs 27,441 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 203 lots in futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in August shed Rs 82, or 0.30 percent, to Rs 27,700 per 10 grams in 20 lots.

Market analysts said that apart from profit booking by speculators, a weak trend in the overseas markets put pressure on gold prices here.

Globally, gold traded USD 1,214.46 an ounce in early trade today in Singapore against USD 1,215.75 yesterday.
