Gold futures down by Rs 72 to Rs 27,322 per 10 grams

Similarly, metal prices for delivery in April fell by Rs 65, or 0.24 percent, to Rs 27,549 per ten grams in six lots.

New Delhi: Amid profit-booking by speculators and a weak trend overseas, gold futures prices today fell by Rs 72 to Rs 27,322 per 10 grams.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for delivery in February declined by Rs 72, or 0.26 percent, to Rs 27,322 per 10 grams in business turnover of 134 lots.

Similarly, metal prices for delivery in April fell by Rs 65, or 0.24 percent, to Rs 27,549 per ten grams in six lots.

Market analysts said the fall in gold futures was mostly attributed to profit-booking by speculators and a weak trend overseas.

Meanwhile, gold prices fell 0.37 percent to USD 1,214.80 an ounce in Singapore.
