Tata Motors global sales down 8% in September

New Delhi: Tata Motors Thursday reported an 8.25 percent decline in global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover, at 80,104 units in September.

The company had sold 87,316 units in the same month last year.

In the passenger vehicles category, the global sales last month were at 45,186 units, as against 49,267 units in September 2013, down 8.28 percent, Tata Motors said in a statement.

Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover declined 8.4 percent to 32,858 units in September compared to 35,874 units in the same month last year.

Sales of commercial vehicles declined 8.22 percent in September to 34,918 units from 38,049 units a year ago.
