Renault Lodgy MPV launched in India at Rs 8.19 lakh

Renault Lodgy is offered in two versions of engine –110 PS version with 6 speed gearbox and 85 PS option.

New Delhi: Car maker Renault launched the Lodgy MPV India on Thursday. The MPV will come at an introductory price of Rs 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The car will be offered in seven variants. The 85 PS will have four variants while the 110 PS will have three variants. The top model will be priced at Rs 11.79 lakh.

Sumit Sawhney, country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said that with the Lodgy they will become the segment breaker since the entry level car has been very affordably priced despite having features of top level models.

The vehicle will compete with the likes of Toyota's Innova, Maruti's Ertiga, Honda's Mobilio and General Motors' Enjoy.

The company said that Renault Lodgy is not the longest car in its category but has the longest wheel base in its category. It has ample room for eight people. The car has got three rows.

The Lodgy inherits the same engine from the company's best selling Duster. Having only diesel option the MPV is offered in two versions of engine –110 PS version with 6 speed gearbox and 85 PS option –which is easy to drive and fuel efficient.

The MPV offers smart-sense air conditioning. The vehicle's safety measures include dual front airbags, ABS, ABD, central door unlock, speed sensing door lock.

On the interior the car has dual tone beige interiors, premium alpha beige quilted leather seats, 7 inch media navigation, chrome finished AC vents, dual AC for second and third row, leather wrapped steering wheel with glossy finish, intuitive audio and phone control, power windows.

On the exterior the car has stylish chrome grill, functional roof tail, side door moulding with chrome insert, chrome tailgate garnish, rear defogger and wiper.
