New Delhi: British automaker Jaguar has confirmed its crossover model which will be called F-Pace, the crossover SUV will debut this week at the Detroit Auto Show.
The Jaguar F-Pace is a production version of the C-X17 concept that debuted at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is based on a new lightweight, aluminum-intensive architecture and will go on sale in 2016.
F-Pace will compete with the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Class. The Jaguar F-Pace is currently undergoing development and will be built at the UK-based manufacturer’s new lightweight technology facility at Solihull, creating 1,300 jobs in the process.
The design of the production model is expected to closely mirror that of the sleek, muscular concept.
