New Delhi: Korean carmaker Hyundai announced its car-- Elite i20 as the winner of 2015 Indian car of the year award. The car has received rave reviews from both customers and critics.
Within the second month of its launch, the Elite i20 was among the top selling car brands in India. The top three contenders were the Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City.
The other final contenders were the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Alto K10, the Honda Mobilio, the Datsun GO, the Toyota Corolla Altis, the new Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Zest.
Based on a new design, the i20 Elite also packages an extremely well-finished cabin. It has gone on to set a new standard for cars in the B+ segment.
The Elite i20 was designed to cater to Indian consumers and has received over 60,000 reservations so far. Hyundai has sold 32,000 i20s in India since the vehicle’s launch.
